Benefit Breakfast

At Free Rein, it all begins with the words walk on”. Riders ask our healing horses to move forward, and with volunteer leaders and sidewalkers in step, they move around the arena on horseback, using the horses’ legs as their own. Riders strengthen muscles, build self-confidence, achieve personal goals, and are carried to new experiences on the back of a thousand-pound therapist. Free Rein's programs engage riders in a weekly social and health-based activity that provides profound benefits tied directly to the relationship of working with a horse, critically impacting the quality of life of many of our riders.

Over the past years, Free Rein’s programs have grown to serve more than 100 riders with a dedicated team of over 180 volunteers by our side. As we imagine the next steps for our program, we envision serving more families from across the Inland Northwest and transitioning to a permanent home where we can build the region’s premier therapeutic riding center. This next journey can only be taken with a dedicated community willing to walk on with us.

We invite you to join us at the Walk On Benefit Breakfast on Wednesday, October 12th from 9:00-10:00am at the Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church for a morning of networking with community-minded professionals, celebrating Free Rein’s incredible rider families and 14 years of work in our community, and dreaming big about Free Rein’s future serving Inland Northwest families.
