NEW Volunteer Training Sessions!

9/21   5:30pm-8:30pm     &    10/1   5:30pm-8:30pm

Please join us for a new volunteer training session!  Our volunteers assist children/adults with disabilities participating in therapeutic horseback riding lessons. You must attend a training session (only one) to begin your journey as a therapeutic riding volunteer. All new volunteers are trained as Sidewalkers.

The primary function of the Sidewalker is to assist the rider in all phases of the lesson. Sidewalkers observe and interact with the client, and also serve as extra eyes and ears for the instructor.

Requirements: pass a background check, at least 14 years old (with parental permission), be able to stand/walk on uneven ground for the 1hr class duration

Please RSVP your training spot…

Email: volunteer@nullfreereinspokane.org

All trainings held at 8118 S. Ramona Rd. Spokane, WA

Volunteers are an essential part of the Free Rein team. We could not operate our programs without them. Our class schedule is typically Tuesday through Saturday and 140+ lesson volunteers are needed to assist staff in Adaptive Riding and Military Horsemanship Programs.
